Pciking up race day packets

I slept like the dead. I could still be asleep. Ugh the clock says 8:17 but I KNOW it is much earlier as I'm still of Pacific not Eastern time. My body knows it is much earlier and my eyes aren't cooperating.

I am up early instead of sleeping as we need to get to the MCM runner's expo to pick up our race day packets. Typing that sends a bolt of nervous energy right to my gut...

So we got our packets for the race at the DC Armory. There were lots of uniforms. The health and fitness expo was okay. I needed a waist pack for my Gu. I also picked up sleeves so that I can keep my arms warm and peel them off when I start getting too hot.
Miles and Molly the Marine Corps Marathon mascots.

We then went to the Smithsonian museum of Natural History. It was fun to walk around and look. It was weird to be able to think without interruption.
We parked by the Old Post Office.  I thought the old postal employee (Dad) would appreciate this.

We had fun. I loved the RACE exhibit.
